Unhappy 406.shtml????!!!!

Hello all. I recently tried uninstalling Joomla 1.5 manually since I am unable to uninstall it through Cpanel. BIG mistake. When I try to install any content management software, this is the error that I get:

Not Found

The server was not able to find the document (./406.shtml) you requested.
Please check the url and try again. You might also want to report this
error to your web hosting provider.

Can someone PLEASE help me?

Hello Proverbs,

What is the domain name? What folder are you trying to install it to?

Like I just advised someone you are trying to access a file that doesn't exist, proabably because when installing joomla using fantestico it will install a .htaccess file use your ftp to go to the folder root where you installed using fantestico and then remove the .htaccess

That would be a 404 error, not a 406.
